Dr. Gifty Sunkwa-Mills

Dr. Gifty Sunkwa-Mills is a medical doctor and public health researcher with over 15 years of experience advancing digital health, health systems strengthening, and evidence-based policy across Africa. As the Country Research Manager for Ghana at Oxford Policy Management (OPM), she leads research that informs national reforms and improves health outcomes, particularly in antimicrobial resistance, infection prevention, and digital transformation. She has worked with Ghana’s Ministry of Health and international partners to strengthen data use and design scalable digital health interventions that promote equity and resilience. A strong advocate for women in health and STEAM, Gifty mentors emerging professionals to lead with integrity, innovation, and collaboration. Guided by her belief that inclusive technology can close health gaps, she continues to shape the continent’s dialogue on digital transformation and health equity.
