Dr. Precious Lunga

Dr. Precious Lunga is the CEO and Co-Founder of Baobab Circle, a health technology company delivering AI-powered mobile solutions to improve chronic disease management across Africa. With a PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Cambridge and a Yale World Fellowship, she has over two decades of experience in science, innovation, and public health. She previously co-founded the Health business unit at Econet Wireless, expanding access to health services through mobile money micro-payments, worked at UNAIDS Geneva leading HIV prevention programs, and served as a strategic advisor to one of the UK’s largest charitable foundations funding initiatives across Africa and India. At the UK Medical Research Council, she helped implement HIV microbicide trials involving over 10,000 African women. A vocal advocate for health and education equity, Dr. Lunga has collaborated with governments, NGOs, and international organizations, serving on boards including the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, and has been featured on BBC, Sky News, and the Women of the World Festival, championing inclusive, technology-driven solutions that improve lives across the continent.
